Normal Mode

Normal Driving Conditions

Visual Reduction for Casual Driving

In casual mode the cluster reduces the amount of information to a weighted balance of speed and gear regulation. Tertiary data like temp and fuel reside in the top left.

Wet Mode

Used for driving in inclement weather conditions; Wet Mode disables launch control as the system adjust throttle control.

Safety

Almost identical to Normal Mode; however the color pallet reflects a minimalistic visual to maintain calamity with the driver.

Sport Mode

In Sport Mode the engine and throttle calibrations are adjusted for a more responsive turbo anti-lag activity.

Track On - But Track Off

‘Sport’ mode much like ‘Normal Mode’ shows both the speedometer and gear selection; prioritizing the canyon run on regulated roads.

Track Mode

Optimized settings for track handling performance. Track drive mode should only be used in a track environment, not on the street, due to the low ride height. In ‘Track Mode’, turbo-anti lag is active. You can only select this setting when your vehicle is in park (P) and you must confirm the selection.

Gear Selection is Key…

In ‘Track Mode’ the driver is able to approach the GT’s full potential as a racecar. On the the track; speed is merely a reference point rather than a holistic metric on performance. Gear selection and ratios are what a winning driver focuses on in the turns of a track; this wins races.

V-Max (Velocity Max)

Optimized settings for achieving maximum velocity (top speed). ‘V-Max Mode’ is only can be only allowed within a track environment, not on the street, due to the risk of unstable speed. The top speed for the GT in ‘V-Max Mode’ is 216 mph.

One Job, One Metric

Ford gives the driver the ability to optimiser the vehicle’s straight-line speed. Doing so, augments the vehicles user interface to reflect on only speed and de-emphasizing all other information to a tertiary state.
